Why hire a TENS machine?
A labour TENS machine sends gentle electrical pulses through soft maternity electrode pads placed on your lower back. You control the strength yourself, building it up as each contraction rises and easing it back between them.
It’s a popular first comfort measure to have on hand — non-invasive, easy to use, and something you can start or stop whenever you like. Many women find it reassuring to have ready as early labour builds, whether at home or on the way to hospital.

The machine, leads and lanyard are cleaned and sanitised between hires. Electrode pads and batteries are supplied for your use.

Simple, honest pricing
Choose the hire length that suits your due date. Not sure? The 4-week hire is our most popular for a little breathing room either side.
Payment. Once your dates are confirmed, the hire fee is paid by bank transfer 5 days before your hire start date.
$90 refundable deposit. A $90 refundable deposit is required. Pay it with your bank transfer, or by cash on pickup or delivery, and it's returned by transfer or cash once the hire kit is brought back in the same condition. Missing or damaged reusable items may be deducted from the deposit.

Based in Southport on the Gold Coast. Pickup is free and available locally, with delivery across South-East Queensland for a flat $10 fee, depending on location and timing.

When should I book?
We recommend booking ahead of your due date so your kit is ready before labour begins. We keep a limited number of machines, so busy months can book out. Earlier is always better.
How do I book?
You can book online in about a minute using the booking form on this page, or send us a text with your dates and preferred hire length. Either way, we'll confirm availability with you personally.
How and when do I pay?
There's no payment to enquire or reserve. Once we confirm your dates, the hire fee is paid by bank transfer 5 days before your hire start date. The refundable $90 deposit can be paid with that transfer, or by cash on pickup or delivery, and it's returned to you by transfer or cash once the kit is brought back in the same condition.
Can I get delivery, and is there a fee?
Yes. Pickup from Southport is free, and local delivery is available across South-East Queensland, from Tweed to Brisbane, for a flat $10 fee. Just let us know your suburb when you book and we'll arrange a time.
What do I need to return?
Please return the TENS machine, lead wires, lanyard, instruction materials and any reusable packaging provided. The electrode pads and batteries are supplied for you to keep.
Is the machine cleaned between hires?
Yes. The reusable items are cleaned and sanitised between hires, and the electrode pads are single-use and supplied fresh for you.
